Product Description
2-Ethylhexyl nitrate is mainly applied as a cetane number improver for diesel fuel. When dosed appropriately, it can significantly boost the cetane rating of diesel and improve combustion efficiency. It functions by shortening the ignition delay period, enabling faster and more complete fuel combustion. Consequently, engine power output is enhanced, fuel consumption is decreased, and harmful emissions including particulate matter and nitrogen oxides are effectively reduced.
