Product Description
P-Toluenesulfonyl hydrazide, also referred to as 4-methylbenzenesulfonylhydrazide, is a white crystalline powder. It dissolves easily in alkalis, is soluble in methanol, ethanol and butanone, slightly soluble in water and aldehydes, and insoluble in benzene and toluene.
It is widely used as a foaming agent for natural rubber, synthetic rubber and various plastics, helping to form fine closed-cell structures in rubber and plastic products. Materials treated with this agent feature low shrinkage and excellent tear resistance. Moreover, it functions as a vital intermediate in organic synthesis, especially for manufacturing pharmaceuticals and pesticides.
