Product Details
Hydroxypropyl acrylate is a clear, colorless liquid that is miscible with water and soluble in most organic solvents. This versatile difunctional acrylate monomer is known for its high reactivity. It is primarily used as a co-monomer in polymer production or as a chemical reactant for manufacturing chemical intermediates. In polymer synthesis, hydroxypropyl acrylate can be copolymerized with a variety of compounds, including acrylic acid, acrylates, methacrylates, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, styrene, and butadiene.
It also reacts with aromatic and aliphatic isocyanates, anhydrides, and epoxides. The polymers and chemical intermediates produced using hydroxypropyl acrylate are widely used in applications such as automotive topcoats, architectural coatings, photocurable resins, and adhesives.
