Product Application
This versatile additive serves as an effective substitute for comparable products and finds extensive application across multiple industries, including plastics, rubber, printing, and machinery. When used as a processing additive for plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene, it simultaneously reduces surface tackiness, improves lubrication, and enhances both thermoplastic performance and heat tolerance. Notably non-toxic, this substance has gained approval in many countries for use in food-contact packaging materials.
In rubber formulations, erucic acid amide improves product glossiness, tensile properties, and elongation characteristics while accelerating vulcanization and enhancing wear resistance—particularly in preventing UV-induced cracking. For printing inks, its incorporation strengthens adhesion, scratch resistance, set-off resistance, and dye solubility. Additional applications include use as a wax paper surface polish, a metallic protective coating, and a foam stabilizer in detergent formulations.
