Poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) copolymer (ABS) is a representative twophase, ternary-component thermoplastic resin, composed of a continuous styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymer matrix and dispersed polybutadiene rubber domains. It exists as a colorless monoclinic crystalline solid or white powder. This material is soluble in cold water and forms an acidic aqueous solution upon dissolution.
